The Hyderabad 48 Hour Film Project 2012
The world’s largest and most popular short film competition, The 48 Hour Film Project (48HFP) is coming to Hyderabad for the first time in April 2012!
60 teams comprising professional, amateur and student filmmakers have signed up to take par in the competition. We met all our registered teams on Friday April 6 at the Kick Off event hosted by our Gold Sponsor, Annapurna International School of Film and Media (AISFM) at Banjara Hills and allotted a genre to the assembled tense filmmakers. We announced a prop, a character and a dialogue which is common to all the teams.
At 7 pm sharp the teams set off for the most creative challenge of their lives – to script, shoot, edit and score a short film in just 48 hours. On Sunday April 8 at 7 pm, teams will return with their film and documents for the Drop Off Cocktails & Starters party hosted by our Hospitality Partner, Taj Banjara at the Middle Lawns, Road no. 1, Banjara Hills. All the films made in the competition will be screened on Saturday April 14 and awards will be given out.
The film can be in Telugu, English, Hindi or any other language. Sub-titles are encouraged, unless it is in English or Hindi. Registration fee per team is Rs. 2500, with no bar on the team strength.
